The Bolivar Tigers faced the Milan Bulldogs on September 28. This was the biggest game for the Tigers because it determined if they would go to playoffs. The Tigers started the game receiving the kickoff. The Tiger’s offense started strong as they scored on the first drive making the score 0-7. As they game went on, Bolivar’s defense did very well only allowing Milan to score once in the first half. The score going into halftime was 7-14 with the Tigers having the lead. The Bulldogs received the ball at the start of the third quarter and scored making the score tied 14-14. The Bulldogs also capitalized on blocking a punt making the score 21-14. However, Omar Jones returned the kickoff that made the score tied at 21-21. As the fourth quarter began, it was a defensive battle. Unfortunately, the Tigers lost the battle allowing the Bulldogs to score. The final score 28-21 with the Bulldogs winning the game. The Tigers hope to start rebuilding for next year’s season and get a big win for their Homecoming.
